As i focus more on the pin-up side of things I'm coming across several models who specialize in the modern interpretations of this style (of which there are several sub-styles) and here and there, some catch my eye and I keep track of what they are doing through a pinup-based resource site. This week's Wrongrobot's Pin-Up Girl is Mickaiayla, out of Seattle. She actually does other types of glamour photo work and promotional stuff in the field, but I like her retro pin-up work the best. She's a good example of the type of look I really enjoy in general, and I suspect we'll see more of in the coming years: the ethnically mysterious. I LOVE mixed ethnicity people and various combinations of skin and hair and freckles and eyes and facial structure that comes from it. Now, I don't know Mickaiayla's ethnic origin, but her look is not easily defined, and I like that about her.




Anyway, she does retro betty very well! She's got some ink, great eyes, and in these pics that great old-timey heels thing going on. Excellent.
