Of all of the fake amalgam comics in the link below, this dubious MASTICATOR was my favorite. Take a bite out of crime, indeed.

Think about it. You are a new reader, browsing the stands and you see this Everything you need to know, the entire story until now, is presented for you symbolically. Daredevil's broken. All over Hell's Kitchen.

It's incredible.

I can hardly stand it.

Dillute the franchise and destroy the very concept of the Dark Knight, anyone? Anyone? Oh, DC there you are, hand up in the back.

Darwyn Cooke recently ranted online about out-of-character mutations of classic comic icons for sales purposes... nothing new of course. And I like change. But while it's clever to play up the Batman army thing, and it sells more Bat Books... the idea of Wayne deciding that there should be multiple Batman in the world suggests that he sees it as a symbolic costume, not an IDENTITY, and the classic struggle with Wayne is the nature of Batman's existence. He IS Batman. And if Grayson has been wearing the cowl, and doing a great job, awesome. But Batman is it's own entity. Dilute it through multiple iterations in the wild, and criminals wouldn't take it seriously.

MEH!

We'll see...

These BLOW me away. I LOVE stylish, cartoony interpretations of Marvel designs, and even moreso when they're snide. These are awesome. Xorn! And of course, from our projects on the R3 Forum, you know I like picture-alphabets...
